This site was started somewhat accidentally in the beginning of 2005. With zero knowledge of web design I had asked a friend to help me put something small together, give me something to learn on. In the course of hunting for design software I could use on my Mac, I stumbled across the brilliant minds who created Rapidweaver. It's because of this great product and the wonderful tutorial on ScreenCasts that I was able to put up my first three pages in less than an hour. (More than half that time was spent writing the copy.) And how could I resist a product with a name like Rapidweaver that mentions what this site is all about?

This lovely magazine was started by a long-time friend who has something to say. The tag line, Refining the life you live into the life you love, is the best description for what this magazine-as-companion intends to do. You'll find at least one of my poems in each issue so far (a trend that is likely to continue), along with the occasional recipe, review or essay I've written. Oh, and there are plenty of other good writers involved as well. The magazine is currently on an indefinite hiatus do to lack of funding. You can still purchase back issues or donate to the nonprofit foundation which is still active.

Yoga and very definitely so much more. Matt and I met while rowing in the same men's eight boat in 1998. We were in similar searching places at the time and being on the water had an invigorating effect. Then our paths diverged for a while. A few years later we met back up and were again in similar places, this time with much more direction. When Matt first saw some of my rugs he said, "This is how you're healing the world." That's Matt, a beautiful man inside and out.

His site is under construction, but then again whose isn't? The pictures that are there show some of the amazing work he does. One of my favorite creative people, Terry is like a little kid when he's being/making/talking pottery.

The Seattle Weavers' Guild is a great place for the creative intellects of weavers to collide in the happiest of ways. In the true spirit of a guild it is primarily educational, supportive and encouraging--an all-volunteer organization. I've been a member since 2000, one of, at best, a handful of men involved. Each year in October I work at the annual sale; it's great to see how well our guild works together to create three of the most enjoyable retail days of the year. This year I will finish serving my third year on the board and start my fourth.
